Out with the old

I cleared old posts from this blog. I don't think they are relevant. Before it was a general sort of "what junk is bouncing around my head today" blog. However, I think I have a focus now.

I started in the field of nutrition in the fall of 2004 when I took Human Nutrition as my physical education elective at my community college. I instantly fell in love with nutrition. I graduated with my B.S. Nutrition and Dietetics in 2007 and got a job with the WIC program a few months later.

I've been fully immersed in "the party line," so to speak. When you work for a government program, you say what the USDA says to say. For the most part, I think I agree with what I counsel about at work. However, I'm starting to wonder about a few things. Just recently, I've realized that I have a lot of things to think about regarding nutrition and food and ethics and preferences. So this blog will be the ongoing journey of my development of my personal food theory.
